The “Manitoba Mustang Association” was created in 1980 by a few friends to share their hobby and love of the classic mustang.

The club joined the International Mustang Association in the late 1980’s and in 1994 hosted the “International Mustang Meet”. The guest of honour that year was the legendary Carroll Shelby. Carroll shared stories from his eventful past, signed autographs, and was the guest speaker at the banquet.

In the early 1990’s the club, which was then known as the “Manitoba Mustang Association & Exotic Fords” changed their name to the “Manitoba Mustang & Ford Association” (MMFA), thus including all mustangs and ford powered vehicles.
